APAC is home to 60% of the world’s population or some 4.3 billion people. It is not only the largest but also one of the most diverse regions of the world, with over 2,300 languages spoken among myriad ethnic groups. Those groups have unique needs and perspectives shaped by their cultures and belief systems, which in turn influence their product choices. It is thus vital to understand these unique differences and how they influence consumer choices to truly innovate and develop consumer-centric products and services.

In this session, we explore:

  1. The value of connecting anthropological insights to technology assessments for the creation of innovation strategies that truly address the health conditions consumers care about in APAC, using the example of the Japanese market.

  1. We then highlight how companies can build a tech assessment roadmap from there. While the example provided is unique to Japan, we highlight how you can leverage this methodology for other APAC markets as well.

Whether you represent chemicals, materials, CPG, or another industry, or if your organization is involved in any part of the value chain in a consumer health product, this session offers a fresh approach toward technology assessment for a good product-market fit.
