Rune Percy is a Senior Research Associate at Lux Research and contributes to the Materials and Manufacturing team’s coverage of 3D printing, generative design, and advanced materials. In this role, he researches cutting-edge material developments, analyzes new design and manufacturing methods, and assists clients on their innovation journeys. Rune is based in Bend, Oregon.
Prior to joining Lux, Rune ran an independent consulting firm focused on guiding startups and small to midsized enterprises to their place in the circular economy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is pursuing his master’s in biomimicry from Arizona State University.
Outside of work, Rune enjoys cooking, board games, travel, and outdoor activities, particularly biking, camping, and snowboarding.
