Gihan Hewage is an Analyst at Lux, and leads the materials team’s coverage of bio-based materials and chemicals. In this role he conducts research on technical and market trends in areas such as bio-based polymers, sustainable packaging, and bioperformance materials.
Gihan holds a masters in Chemistry from MIT, where he worked on synthesizing novel resin for solid phase peptide synthesis. Gihan also earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Duke University, where he coauthored several academic publications on topics including stress-responsive polymers and mechanochemically active soft robots.
