Jessica Hernandez is an analyst at Lux Research, where she spearheads the exploration of novel energy management systems, power grid innovations, and transformative business models shaping the future of the energy sector. Focusing on both hardware and software technologies, Jessica delivers deep insights into advances that enhance energy efficiency in the built environment and improve electricity transmission, distribution, and retail. Her strategic advice empowers innovation leaders across electric utilities, oil and gas, and industry to navigate the rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Before joining Lux, Jessica was a BIOS (basic input/output system) engineer at Intel Corporation’s Guadalajara Design Center. During her studies, her passion for sustainable energy led her to participate in a project at Siemens Building Technologies, where she designed the generation, distribution, and management of electricity for net-zero-energy buildings.

Jessica holds a B.Sc. in electronics engineering from the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education in Mexico and an M.Sc. in sustainable energy technology from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where she specialized in optimizing solar photovoltaic system design.

Originally from Mexico, Jessica now calls Amsterdam home. She enjoys exploring the city, staying active, and immersing herself in a good book.
