Marissa is the senior manager, demand generation at Lux, leading the marketing team’s overall growth strategy. In this role, she strategizes and executes the activities that generate high-quality prospects for a robust sales pipeline. Marissa’s work helps build brand awareness and demand for Lux’s product and services, helping global innovation, R&D, and consumer insight leaders connect with the expert guidance that will steer more informed decision-making in high-pressure situations. Marissa organizes Lux’s webinar and in-person event program, running close to 100 events a year both virtually and at key locations across Europe, Asia, and the United States. In addition to these responsibilities, Marissa founded the virtual Ideathon program at Lux, a monthly startup pitch event that connects clients with emerging innovators across the manufacturing, CPG, and energy industries.
Prior to joining Lux, Marissa worked at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a specialist in leadership events, managing relationships with high-level sponsors and donors and fully executing multiple fundraising events for the nonprofit organization that engaged nearly 1,000 people and generated close to $1 million annually. She holds a B.A. in anthropology from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and she has an affinity for languages, studying both French and Spanish throughout school.
