Benny is the Managing Director, Consulting, at Lux Research. He heads Lux’s Global Materials & Manufacturing and Digital consulting teams and is based in Singapore. Benny and his team help our many clients size and prioritize addressable markets, correctly interpret the competitive landscape, anticipate disruptive technologies and companies, and develop sound go-to-market and business development strategies.
Benny brings more than 20 years of professional services and consulting experience to Lux, most recently at Hexagon PPM. In his previous role, his focus was providing bespoke services and strategy consulting for the oil & gas, construction/mining, and marine offshore industries navigating digital transformation. In this capacity, Benny helped companies improve their strategic business value by advising them on how to address change management and improve information management to optimize efficiencies and performance and thereby increase profitability. He has extensive experience implementing projects as well as in strategy development, workshop facilitation, estimations, stakeholder assessments, business development, and consulting. Prior to Hexagon PPM, Benny designed and built wastewater treatment plants in Southeast Asia. Before joining the private sector, Benny piloted unmanned military aerial vehicles and jets.
Benny holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD focused on innovation management and emerging technologies and strategy, and a B.Eng. (Honors) in mechanical engineering from University of Glasgow with a focus on lasers and optics.
