Tyler Coville is chief technology officer at Lux Research and leads the company’s technology and engineering strategy. In this role, he focuses on advancing Lux’s product strategy, modernizing its technology architecture, and developing the next generation of AI-powered capabilities for Lux clients. He is based in Thousand Oaks, California.
Tyler brings more than 14 years of experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams and developing large-scale distributed software platforms. Prior to joining Lux, Tyler served as senior principal engineer at Evity Technologies, where he led the architecture of an AI-native platform built around large language models, intelligent agents, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, and cloud-native microservices. Previously, he held technical director leadership roles at Activision and Electronic Arts, where he headed engineering teams responsible for large-scale, cloud-based platforms supporting millions of users. Tyler has a B.S. in computer science from California Lutheran University.
