Kallie Mingay is a senior research associate at Lux Research, based in the company’s Boston headquarters. She contributes to Lux’s coverage of sustainable building materials and advanced materials. In this role, she analyzes circular and low-carbon production methods and cutting-edge materials innovations at early stage companies. Her research and client guidance are informed by deep subject-matter expertise and a keen insight into the commercial landscape for materials innovation.
Prior to joining Lux, Kallie worked at Saint-Gobain as an R&D engineer for its abrasives and building products businesses. She holds a B.Sc. in materials science & engineering from North Carolina State University and an M.Sc. in engineering design innovation from Northwestern University. While completing her master’s degree, she also worked briefly for an early stage startup exploring CO2 removal in agriculture.
Kallie is passionate about the arts in all their forms. Whether she’s completing a crossword, attending a dance class, volunteering with the local arts council, or learning French, she channels her creative energy into every facet of her life.
