Innovating for a superaging planet

The planet is seeing a rapidly aging population with more and more unique needs. By 2050, at least 25% of the population of developed economies will be aged 65 years and over. While longer lifespans mean increased health risks, a large proportion of the elderly also lead active and healthy lifestyles. Some seniors would also have accumulated sizable savings and look for new and meaningful experiences as they enter the next stage in their lives. However, there are few options today for seniors looking to age independently, actively, and productively.

We will discuss market opportunities for new and emerging technologies that could play a significant role in addressing these needs.
