Tomoyo Matsuoka is QunaSys’ Chief Operations & Business Officer, where she leads business and ecosystem development. She has deep expertise in R&D strategy, industry consulting, and quantum chemistry.
Prior to joining QunaSys, she worked as business strategist at Arthur D. Little Japan to formulate new business strategies and medium- to long-term strategies for manufacturing industries centered on chemistry, materials and automobiles. During her tenure at ADL, she led client workshops to brainstorm and define industry business strategies.
She is Deputy Project Leader of the “The Quantum Software Research Hub” open-platform hub funded by JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency) with 20 + corporations and an active member of Japan’s QPARC industry community with more than 40 members. She coordinates and leads activities towards collaboration in the development of quantum computing solutions together with the community members. She works with all companies on to help them ideate use cases for quantum and get them proficient in quantum computing.
Dr. Matsuoka received her PhD in Materials Chemistry from the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, she is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology.
