What to Expect
As electric vehicle (EV) adoption accelerates across passenger and commercial transport, EVs are evolving from demand-side assets into flexible distributed energy resources. At the same time, policymakers are increasingly promoting smart and bidirectional charging to unlock EVs as a source of grid flexibility, creating new opportunities for utilities, charging providers, fleet operators, and technology developers to generate new revenue streams and develop innovative business models. Realizing this potential will require a combination of hardware and software innovations across the EV charging ecosystem.
