Cansu Doganay

Cansu Doganay is an analyst at Lux Research, based in the Amsterdam office, where she leads Lux’s coverage of the hydrogen economy and novel electrochemical processes. In this role, she advises innovation leaders in the oil and gas, industrial, and chemicals sectors on the strategic adoption of these technologies. She specializes in comparing emerging technologies and evaluating companies through rigorous techno-economic analyses, supported by both primary and secondary research.

Before joining Lux, Cansu held research positions at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she focused on biofuels and electrochemical CO2 capture, and Purdue University, West Lafayette, where she explored the techno-economics of decentralized green ammonia generation. Her research experience equips her with deep expertise in sustainable energy systems and industrial decarbonization.

Cansu holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey and an MEng from the University of Michigan, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and kitesurfing.
