What to Expect
In the past decade, more and more countries have seen a rapidly aging demographic. While it’s well known that developed economies like Japan, Italy, and Finland have a rapidly aging population, it is surprising that rapidly growing economies are also seeing their populations age at an unprecedented rate. Thinking about healthy aging as a health concern misses a much larger business opportunity, as these consumers value vitality, emotional well-being, positive social relationships, and enjoyable experiences. In addition, the concept of healthy aging doesn’t just begin when consumers hit their 60s or 70s; even younger consumers in their 30s or 40s are starting to think about how to age gracefully and plan for old age.
In this Ideathon, we will explore emerging innovative technologies that address different facets of healthy aging, from consumer health to personal care to food and nutrition to aging-in-place and mobility. We will also discuss challenges and opportunities in driving adoption and delivering value during healthy aging through improved quality of life experiences.
