Laura Krishfield is a Senior Research Associate within the Emerging Ecosystems in Agrifood and Health program at Lux. In this position, Laura investigates emerging food and agricultural technologies that pertain to areas in advanced crop protection, personalized nutrition, precision agriculture, and genomics.
Prior to joining Lux Research, Laura served an AmeriCorps position with the National Park Service at the Cape Cod National Seashore (CACO). At CACO, she conducted field assessments of the salt marsh ecosystems and contributed to an on-going field study of the vegetation coverage. She has also participated in ecological research involving the effects of noise pollution on the Hawaiian Humpback Whale.
Laura has a B.S. in Environmental & Ecological Science from Elon University, where she worked at Student Professional Development Center as a Sr. Student Ambassador.
